From Manual Checks to Smart Automation: Bonmart Elevates Mexico’s Tube Packaging Line

The Mexican customer upholds high standards for tube packaging. To improve production efficiency and reduce time-consuming manual inspection, they sought to optimize the final stage of packaging—the foiling and capping process, which typically requires the most inspection time.
In response, Bonmart upgraded the existing foilling and capping unit by adding a camera-based vision inspection system. This system automatically detects Al. foil positioning and orifice accuracy, and rejects defective tubes via a conveyor system. The upgrade significantly reduced inspection time and simplified the workflow, resulting in faster production and lower labor costs.
Furthermore, the inspection system includes a defect tracking and feedback mechanism, enabling the customer to identify root causes of issues and continuously improve the production process—bringing them closer to a fully automated and high-quality manufacturing environment.
